Raspberry-Kissed Chocolate-Almond Crostada

It looks difficult, but an unroll-and-fill pie crust makes a gorgeous dessert so easy!!!!!!!!


INGREDIENTS
Torte
1 can (8 oz) or 1 package (7 oz) almond paste
3 tablespoons LAND O LAKES® Butter, softened
1 Eggland's Best egg white
3 oz semisweet baking chocolate, melted
1 Pillsbury® refrigerated pie crust (from 15-oz box), softened as directed on box
2 tablespoons SMUCKER'S® Seedless Red Raspberry Jam
1/4 cup Fisher® Chef's Naturals® Sliced Almonds
Garnishes
1 teaspoon powdered sugar
1 cup whipped cream
DIRECTIONS
1.Heat oven to 375°F. Spray large cookie sheet with CRISCO® Original No-Stick Cooking Spray, or line with cooking parchment paper.

2.Break up almond paste into medium bowl; add butter and egg white. Beat with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Beat in melted chocolate until well blended. (Or, in food processor bowl with metal blade, break up almond paste; add butter and egg white. Cover; process with on-and-off pulses until smooth. Add melted chocolate. Cover; process until smooth.)

3. Unroll pie crust; place on center of cookie sheet. Spoon almond filling onto middle of crust; spread evenly to within 1 1/2 to 2 inches of edge. Fold edge of crust over filling, forming pleats; press down slightly. Spread jam over filling. Sprinkle almonds over filling and crust.

4. Bake 25 to 35 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Cool completely, about 1 hour. Garnish top with light sprinkling of powdered sugar and dollops of whipped cream.
High Altitude (3500-6500 ft): No change.

Oklahoma City Memorial & Museum

The OKC Memorial & Museum is going to reopen to the public Thursday, February 5!!!
There will be a reopening celebration on Saturday, February 7, to welcome visitors back. The Oklahoma City Thunder is providing vouchers good for tickets to upcoming games for the first 250 paid Memorial Museum admissions this Saturday to celebrate the reopening. Also Thunder players Desmond Mason and Nenad Krstic will be on hand Saturday, February 7, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., to sign autographs and celebrate the reopening.

Super Bowl Sunday!!

Ok my family really isn't into football unless it is OU playing, but some of my husbands friends are and since we have the best & biggest flat screen TV out of everybody we know, mounted on our wall then we or should I say I GET TO host the Super Bowl Party....LOL I dont mind though because I do like to cook! Todays its just going to be finger foods here is what I'm making:
7 Layer Dip
1 can refried beans
8 oz sour cream
1/2 pound cooked hamburger meat
lettuce
chopped tomatoes
shredded cheese
chopped black olives
Arrange in that order. I don't add salsa to mine because not everybody like salsa (like me)but you can and make it a 8 layer dip!

Little Smokies in a Crock Pot
2 packages Little Smokies
equal parts Grape Jelly and Mustard. Yes that right grape jelly and mustard!!!! You should try it, you will so surprised just like I was the first time I tried this receipe.

Hoagie Sandwiches
I'm cheating on this one because they are store bought!!
And a few bags of chips to go with the Hoagies, and dip.
